Training & Support - Wendell Water Damage Restoration

Every visit starts with

Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file

The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.

Training & Ongoing Support

You don’t need to know the difference between a water extractor and an air mover on day one. You need to know how to run a business that shows up on time, charges a fair price, and keeps its promises. We teach the rest. Our onboarding program was built for people coming from sales, construction, insurance, restaurants, the military, or anywhere else where they learned to care about customers. Water damage restoration is a trade, and we’ll teach you the trade. What we won’t do is hand you a binder, shake your hand, and wish you luck.

Initial Training

Before your doors open, you’ll spend time at our training facility learning exactly how a Wendell job runs from the first phone call to the final invoice. Operations first, because operations are what keep you out of trouble. You’ll learn our dispatch flow, how we answer a panicked homeowner at 2 a.m., how we scope a job, and how the written-price-before-work-starts promise actually works in practice. Then the trade itself: moisture mapping, psychrometric drying, extraction techniques, and the standards we follow. If you’ve never touched a Dri-Eaz dehumidifier, you will. If you’ve never written a drying log, you’ll write dozens. You’ll also learn the software that runs your business, because photo documentation and text updates aren’t optional here. They’re the whole point. On the hiring side, we’ll walk you through recruiting, interviewing, and vetting technicians, including our background-check standard. And marketing gets real coverage too, because knowing how to dry a house doesn’t matter if nobody calls you.

Expect this phase to run two to three weeks. Expect to be tired. Expect to leave knowing what “grains per pound” means and why it matters to a homeowner with a wet kitchen floor.

Launch Support

The first sixty days determine whether a location builds momentum or stalls. We treat your launch like an active job site, with people assigned to it and deadlines attached. Your marketing setup gets handled early: local listings, your Google Business Profile, your website, your service area, and the lead engine that feeds jobs into your phone. We’ll work with you on your local service radius and make sure your digital presence matches the community you’re actually serving. Then the first jobs. Your first water extraction won’t be done alone. A field coach will be on site or on the phone, walking you through the scope, the drying plan, the customer conversation, and the documentation. When questions come up mid-job, and they will, you’ll have a direct line to someone who has already answered them. Our goal is simple: by the time your launch window closes, you’ve handled real calls, real damage, and real customers, and the process feels like yours.

Ongoing Support

  • Field coaching and ride-alongs: Regional coaches visit locations, walk job sites, review drying logs, and help you troubleshoot the hard jobs before they become expensive mistakes.
  • Marketing support: Your local campaigns, review strategy, and brand presence get audited and adjusted. When something works in one market, we share it with the others.
  • Vendor and equipment relationships: You’ll get access to our preferred supplier network for restoration equipment and materials, so you’re not negotiating from scratch on your first trailer load.
  • Technology updates: Our software stack evolves as the industry does. You’ll get updates, training on new features, and a team that helps you use the tools we built our promise around.
  • National brand campaigns: When Relay Home Co. runs campaigns that lift the whole network, your location benefits. The visibility promise is a brand people remember.
  • Peer network: You’re not signing up to be the only Wendell owner in existence. Other owners have seen what you’re seeing. We connect you with them, because the best answers sometimes come from someone who did your exact job last Tuesday.

You’re Never Alone

Water damage doesn’t train itself, and neither does running a restoration business. But you won’t be doing either one solo. Call (940) 466-4354 or request info below.
