Available Franchise Territories
Wendell Water Damage Restoration is expanding through protected territories, not wide-open license sprawl. When you claim a market, it’s yours. No other Wendell owner can operate inside your lines, and no corporate location will ever compete with you. That’s the point of a protected territory: you build the reputation, you keep the book of business, and the brand sends referrals to you, not to someone else across town. Right now, the markets below are open. First movers get the best geography, the best sub-markets, and the least competition for the Wendell name in their state.
Open Markets
These states currently have open Wendell territory. Each one is a genuine opportunity, but a few stand out for reasons specific to damage restoration.
- Texas – Houston and Dallas alone see thousands of water damage calls a year, driven by slab leaks, flash floods, and aging HVAC overflow pans.
- Florida – Hurricane season, high water tables, and humidity-driven mold issues make this one of the highest-volume restoration markets in the country.
- California – Burst supply lines, earthquake-related pipe failures, and a huge housing stock built before modern plumbing codes.
- Georgia – Atlanta’s sprawl and older intown homes create steady demand, especially for crawl space and basement drying work.
- North Carolina – Coastal storm surge, inland flooding, and fast-growing suburbs that keep plumbers and restoration crews booked year-round.
- Arizona – Monsoon season and hard-water pinhole leaks in copper piping produce a surprisingly high volume of water damage claims.
- Tennessee – Nashville’s rapid growth plus an older housing stock in Memphis and Knoxville means consistent restoration work.
- Ohio – Frozen pipe bursts in winter, sump pump failures in spring, and a large inventory of older homes with original plumbing.
- Pennsylvania – Philadelphia row homes and Pittsburgh’s hillside drainage issues keep restoration crews busy every season.
- Colorado – Hail and ice dam damage, plus high-altitude freeze-thaw cycles that crack exterior plumbing and foundation drains.
- Washington – The Puget Sound region’s persistent rainfall and older mid-century homes create steady mold and water intrusion work.
- Virginia – Coastal flooding in Hampton Roads, plus Richmond and NoVA housing stock that spans three centuries of plumbing standards.
How Territories Work
When you claim a Wendell territory, you get a defined geographic boundary that no other Wendell owner can cross. We map it out before you sign, down to the zip code level where it matters. Inside those lines, every lead generated by the Wendell brand in your area routes to you. Every referral from the Relay Home Co. family of companies routes to you. If a neighboring territory gets an overflow call that falls inside your boundary, that call goes to your phone, not to a competitor.
Exclusivity is protected in writing. We don’t parcel out the same city to three different owners and let them fight over the same phone calls. The brand doesn’t scale that way and the economics don’t work that way. One owner, one territory, one protected customer base. That’s the model.
To reserve a territory, you talk to our franchise team, review the market map, and confirm the area you want is still open. We hold the territory while you complete your due diligence and training. Once you sign, the territory is yours for the life of your agreement. No one else gets it.
